Jeff Madrigali was born in 1956 in Walnut Creek, California and has been sailing since the age of eight. He has enjoyed many wins as a professional sailor, particularly in the Soling Class. Madrigali has served as skipper of the US Sailing Team in 1992 and also between 1994 and 1996. Of his achievements in those years, worth noting is the victory in the Soling Nationals of 1996, his winning the Soling Match Racing, North American, Pacific Coast and US Championships the previous year; and the Gold Medal in the 1994 World Soling Championship in Helsinki. In 1994 he was named US Sailing's USOC Athlete of the Year. For the Atalanti Racing Team, he completed in the Etchells European Championship in 2012.
