Robbie Haines

    American sailor Robbie Haines has won seven World Championships in four different boat classes. As skipper of the Haines-Trevelyan-Davis Team, he won the gold medal in the Soling Class at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Four years earlier, he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for being a member of the 1980 US Olympic Sailing Team that did not compete in the Moscow Olympics due to the American boycott of the Games. He also served as associate producer and sailing team manager for the Walt Disney film Morning Light. Robbie Haines competed with the Atalanti X in 1997 and 1998, as well as three years later in 2001, in the One Ton Cup.
